The Exodus

So it's been a while since I posted, I know, shut up. The Deppes moved to McMinville, too bad that town is far away :( Steve and Holli moved to Portland to live in an apartment high in the sky. I am moving again, to where, I don't know. Temporarily I will be residing in the Deppe's silver villa.

I went on my first date yesterday morning in 3 or 4 years. I kinda lost count. Oddly enough She was someone locally famous. A new reporter from Kval 13 Molly Blancett. She seems pretty awesome so far I hope I don't fuck it up.

I am working nights right now for a plumbing company doing a safeway remodel right now. I am praying I find something new.

Highway to Hell (or in this case, from)

So after another few days in Sadras I don't have a whole lot to report. But I can tell you that Buck (a guy who works for us) has earned the name Drama for obvious reasons. Drama also Couldn't catch a slug in a salt pit if he had rockets on his shoes. I swear he is the slowest driver I have ever seen. Sadras to Sisters is 45.5 miles and it took us 1 hour to get there. Needless to say I was just about to pull my hair out. Especially since I had finals later that day. After Sisters I took over driving to Springfield, 103 miles, and it took us 1 hour 30 mins to get there. That's an average of 68.6 mph for me and 45.5 mph for Drama. So our trip would have taken 3 hours 26 mins if Drama drove the whole way. And 2 hours 16 mins if I drove the whole way. Of course I could have shaved off about 15 mins if not for the traffic. I'm sorry for all the math but I am a huge supporter of raising the speed limit on the Oregon highways. So hah read it!

Because last summer was maybe the best summer of my life I am seriously looking forward to this summer. Although Stephen, Holli, B, and the Mattfrodisiac will be gone I think we can still have a good time.

More to come

I am waiting for the ccompletion of the job in Sadras to finish my "Dante's" post, but in the mean time I have been super sicck this weekend. Just think of the worst cold you have ever had and then combine that with the worst cough you have ever had and thats what I had. Besides that not alot has been going on. Although I did miss out on what is usually the highlight of my year, Whicch is the Mexicco trip due to scchool scheduals. Anway more to cocme soon as the Sadras job will draw to a close in the next two weeks or so.

Dante's Seventh ring of hell revisited.

I roll out of bed, still hazy with exhaustion, I open the door and step out into the Mountain View Trailer Park. My clothes are in different stages of cleanliness, and I think I forgot to shower last night. No matter these laid back country folk wouldn't notice anyway. I spew gravel out behind my tuck as I pull onto a redneck backwoods highway. Only a few miles to work stuck behind some knob job going ten miles an hour under under the speed limit. I arrive at the slaughterhouse of a grocery store to find that their "low price gasoline" is going to push back that root canal I need for another few months. The electricians are reminicant of rats, not only in their looks, which were like tiny hideous rodents trying to squeeze out a pellet, but their demenor as well, huddling in corners giggling with each other. The refrigeration guy , who looks like he might be a retired clown, starts out all his complaints with "Hey I'm not trying to bitch here, but...". The Superintendant Couldn't fight his way out of a burning paper bag with an ocean of water. He is rolled over by the other tradesmen there like a high school floozy by the football team. Then decides that to make himself look like he might have some small amount of control over the myriad of failure that is this job he takes outhis frusterations on me. Thats ok though I'm only sitting on the edge of a pit, which the edge's are ringed with cold partially dried grease from the "gourmet wok" which also is ringed with an inch of grease, digging through sandstone until my hands bleed.

To be continued.....

Sadras, Netflix, Deppe's, and Flippen cars

So we have been traveling from eugene to madras to work the graveyard at a safeway, remodiling it. The job kinda sucks but we are getting close to done. The electricians on the jobs are assholes, the superintendant is an idiot, and everyone else is somewhere in between. Except for the temp workers there working for the general contractor which is kinda wierd. So Frankie has dubbed Madras now as Sadras becuase it makes us :(

I have been a member of netflix for a while now and i am loving it. I am watching a series right now called the up series. It follows some children from England at the age 0f 7 and then again at 14,21,28 etc... I'm on 35 right now i'll watch it tonight.

The deppes are moving to portland= bad for us, good for them. I am gonna miss them. I'm glad its not too far though.

I also joined the club of idiots who have rolled their cars. Although in my case I rolled Stephen's toyota truck up on the Santiam pass. It was pretty amazing I have never been in a really bad accident before so I was pretty shaken up for most of the day. The funny thing is i remember thinking shit steve is gonna be pissed as i was hanging upside down. Then i called him like 30 seconds after the accident and was like yea i'm fine but i totalled your truck. I also thought about trying to flip it over, as it was on its side, and try to continue driving. Anyway my life has been interesting lately.

Poker nights

Our memorable moments of the summer was the multiple river trips we took in small inflatable boats and matresses. All the while downing large amounts of beer and riding the rapids. But so far our memorable moments of winter is the poker nights over at Luke's place. I once again took money from everyone at the table.

We are gearing up for our first Mexico trip on our own. As it nears I am getting more and more excited. I hope that this year we can accomplish the things that we felt were lacking from previous trips. BTW send money!

Unemployed

So being unemployed really frees up a lot of time. We all got laid off for a month so I am trying to figure out how to fill up my time. Mostly with an online risk like game called conquer club. My user name is Ho_Chi_Min so i like to talk a lot about how "we" are the only ones who have beaten the Americans in war. It really ticks people off. On the other hand my parents offered to make my truck payment if i would work the amount of hours that it would take to make that much at my job at their house. So that was quite genereous.
Yesterday i cooked a whole pack of bacon and proceeded to eat it over the course of the day. It makes me feel dirty inside. :( I also have been staying up till 3 in the morning and not getting up till noon. This has been rally messing with my internal clock so i gotta stop it. You tube has become a good friend of mine. I also caught myself in tears watching romantic comedies from netflix. I am not sure what i'm morphing into but i doubt it will be a butterfly on the other side of this cocoon.

Mexico

Was basically awesome. Tacos + Sangria = Crazy delicous, and also what became known on this trip as "mud butt". This trip went off pretty smooth. Showed up, built some houses, pissed off some Quakers, you know... the usual. Ashley came and that made me super happy. Simon came and it was cool too, but Ashley is prettier. I also am super happy right now working for steve and his plumbing company. I'm looking forward to moving in with some friends soon... sooner hopefully than later.

I think i'm starting to get the traveling itch again. I was thinking the other day what is stopping me from just leaving and heading off to europe somewhere and being a hobo for a while. Not much especially considering i am approaching the debt free mark which would be super sweet.

Well besides all that bull crap not a whole lot is goin on. Adios

Sweet!

Tommorow is the big day. We are moving all the big furnature and stuff at my aunt's house in SF. The best part about being here tommorow is my uncle Alan is coming! He is really cool I can't wait to have him come. I also can't wait to get back to E-town for B's party. I'm bringing melina as my date. ;p Anyway it should be really fun provided I dont mess up my suit too much as I'm wearing it to the party.

Read Me!

It sucks when you check your blog and no one has responded to it. Yet then again i bet it sucks to check out my blog and see I have not written anything latley.

Bad Things
1. what the hell is growing on my piecring I scraped the top of it and it bled all over the place. When i get home I'm gonna fingernail clip it of and cauderize it. That outa look pretty.
2. Not looking forward to driving back to Eugene. I am not a fan of long commutes when they don't involve "crazy" road trip attitudes.
3. Hmm not really all that much to report really

Good Things
1. (very good) Went to In and Out burger tonight and had an awesome burger and fries animal style and topped it off with some krispy kreme donuts.
2. Finally decided to quit chewing tobacco (great a new year's resolution)
3. Looking forward to New years eve party at Ashles house.

So I'm down here in San Fran helping my Aunt move to a town house. It's going pretty good but it reminds me of why I don't like Cali and why I love Oregon. Even with all our hippies, dope fiends, and crazies I still prefer it to anywhere else I have been in the world. Maybe its my family maybe its my church or maybe its just the nuts in Eugene but I love living in Oregon. I decided that I need to check into a few things and then get my ass into gear and get going on starting a brewery. I know I will love it and I think I can go far doin something I love. Bah I'm going to bed it's friggen hot down here!

Yeay

Yeay it's christmas. One of my favorite days of the year, and yes partly because there is a 007 james bond marathon going on.

Cool gifts:
1. Uber flashlight from DAD
2. An awesome pearing knife (Global) from Steve and Holli
3. Some cool books from MOM
4. Another pretty cool knife from DAD that looks like its used in kligon rituals, but apearantly its a traditional knife from alaska.

Well I am back in Eugene now looking for work. After new years i'll be working at Indigo again but this time in the kitchen. I am going to San Fran tomorrow to help my aunt move and visit her for the holiday. I'm looking forward to hangin with my cousin kate too.

Bad things:
1. Still having a cough from a nasty cold I got on wed and persisted till today.
2. RAN OUT OF EGG NOGG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Oh wheew found some in the back of the fridge!
3. Jackie is goin haywire today I think she is just excited that I gave her a bunch of bacon and honey baked ham bits. Unfortunatly I found out this morning that she isn't aloud to have pork. (I didn't know jackie was jewish)

Anyway I started a journal too now it's kinda cool now I can write all the stuff I wanna say that is too juicy for the internet! hehe.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recall the vote!

Well if the vote didnt go so horribly to the left by huge amounts of votes i woul feel bad for forgeting to vote. But damn i wasn't to happy missing the vote. I left my ballot in Eugene and asked steve to "send" it in for me. But i went to the market on the way home last night and they were having a CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION yeay!!!!! So i completely forgot to call steve i was too busy sampling hearty winter brews, creamy delicous cheeses and meats, ice creams, cakes, and of course EGG NOG yeay!!!!!!!!!! i
Anyway I am already dreading the 2008 presidential election. I think i will puke my guts out and shoot myself in the head if hilary gets elected.

Top 5 of the day:

pissed

dont you hate it when you are really pissed at someone but are afraid to tell them what they are doing is pissing you off becuase you are non confrontational and they are a friend. I'm in that spot right now. I think i will just have to wait till I can get out of the situation im in to get away from this person and try to confront them as easy as possible. I used to hate living alone now i relish the idea of returning to the solitary comfort of my own apartment.

Any way things are going well but my top disapointment of the day has to be finding out B's party isnt until next weekend. I WANNA PARTY NOW!!!!!!!! Oh well i'll have to make due with pulling lint out of my navel and sighing alot.

Anyone know where I can pick up a girlfriend at?
It seems that all the girls i meet are either married or not what im looking for. And by "not what im looking for" i mean girls that are not christian mostly.

Akward!!!!!!!!

so today im working at this house in a nice neighborhood and i walk up stairs to get something from my van and the woman who was there with her kids asks me something as im walking by. So i walk into the living room and she is sitting on the couch breast feeding her baby with no attempt to cover up. Can you AKWARD. Apearantly she had roots in the spanish inquisition becuase it seemed like an eterantity of looking anywhere but at her. Anyway i have another halfday there but at least i wont be alone. Im going camping this weekend so that makes me happy.

Time

It seems the longer you go without writing the easier it is not to write anything at all. So anywho its time to catch up. I was working at the bar and quit to come work up in portland at a construstion company that a friend owns. Everything has been going really well and im catching up on my bills which is nice. i still drive my pos ford escort though im thinking ill fix it well enough to drive to mexico and then cut the top off and drive it around for the mexico trip and then give it away.
So now that im caught all up ill post more often.

If you don't dance then your no friend of mine.

So currently I work at a bar downtown called The Indigo District. It is pretty awesome at first i was working the floor walking around picking up glasses and delivering food to tables. As of today I am the new door man. Kinda sweet To have the power over the door. I'll have to wear a suit and sunglasses every night or a sparkly silver shirt. The crew i work with is pretty cool but also like the worlds bigest posers. They all dress trendy or like punks but they all have hip hop on thier ipods and are always talking about the cool music played there on the weekends unless of course I start talking about how the 80's rock or some cool punk music *cough* the fakers *cough*. Wwll not all of them are like that but the are all Eugeneites to be sure. The boss is pretty cool I think that he doesn't actually like hip hop and he only plays it to atract the money from the college crowd. In fact on more than one occasion he berates his customers (as he is also the DJ) for liking hip hop. Like I said he's pretty cool. Oh well i'll try to keep up more often on my blog but as my life is boring and uneventful it can be tough.

We must dance like children of the night (or at least try)

Stephan and holli's wedding was a real blast. The reception was at the vets club in Eugene and it was packed in our reception hall and the one below us was packed with rugby players and the bar downstairs was as well. Besides almost desecrating the bartender and the caterer with feces for thier incompitance I had a good time. The bartender ordered the wrong beer and the caterer ran out of punch and it took them half a friggen hour to make more which also quickly ran out and then there was no more. Not to mention that i was sitting at the head table and was served LAST. Now don't get me wrong I'm not being selfish here just showing the mental retardation of the caterer. So being served last we didn't get mashed potatoes or rice with our dinners and we got a tiny piece of meat each. Now I don't know about you but I think serveing the head table with the best stuff first and then the parents would be my highest priorit as a caterer. They are going to be the only people who might wait outside your work for you and smash your face for a bad job.
Anywhooo we ad a really fun time dancing (badly) And at the end of the night encircling Stephan and holli with our arms linked dancing around them and singing to coldplay's yellow as they danced. Cheesey you say? Well maybe but at least we had fun doing it. The only other cool thing was that some of the rugby players from downstairs crashed our party so afterwards we went down to their party and started eating thier cake and dancing down there.

You ripped my heart out and played badminton with it.

I guess it's time i post. I should start out on the friday before we left for mexico. I went to the church to help B pack up and get off on the trip. That day i put in my 2 gauge plugs and it hurt like hell. over the next few days they fell out from bad rubberbands. at one point shoving them back in i cut the skin on my left earlobe it wasnt going to heal so i had to put in my 10 guage rings again they are fine now. anywhoo two days before we left we were there at the church again packing gear. And the girl that I had asked out a few months ago was there (yes she sot me down). that sucked. So next on our delicously long and boring ride down to mexico I almost killed one of the leaders of the trip. One leader had asked me to build a box on the back of a trailer and then a second leader kept telling me how i needed to do this or that. I just about punched him in the face.

(Long boring trip)

Skip forward to mexico

So mexico was really fun this year. Smitty and Paco came! Two cool guys from La Grande Oregon. La grande = hickville USA. Garret and I headed up one of the houses like we have for the last three years. He is a really cool guy and his wife hiedi is really cool too. They have moved from La Grande to salem so they are now closer to Eugene and thats cool.
This year Paco and Levi have joined the dos Pollos club. Down in mexico there is a resturant there that serves chicken by the 1/4, 1/2, whole, and two. 1/4 of a chicken is plenty for one person. Two is absolutly insane. Last year I started the dos pollos club becuase the diez tacos place closed. Your lower intestines will never forgive you if you join the dos pollos club.
Actually besides a blown tire on the way back this year it was pretty uneventful.

Ok so you don't burn your eyes out and for commentation purposes ill split up my catching up posts.
